Carl Walden Houston, 56, of Nahunta died suddenly Tuesday morning (May 18, 2010) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Born in Ludowici, GA his parents are the late Charles Houston and Annie Branson Carter. He was a electrician for Certified Electric and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Brunswick, GA. Carl also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Anita Herrin of Nahunta; 3 children and their spouses, Carlos & Sherry Houston of Waynesville, Crystal & Mack Clark of Brunswick and Melissa Houston of Waynesville; 8 grandchildren, William Brown, Emily Brown, Alyssa Houston, Cameron Clark, Natalie Clark, Dridan Porcelain, Hunter Anderson and Elisa Clark; his mother, Annie Branson Carter of Brunswick; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie & Ronnie Davis of Darien; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary & Linda Houston of Brunswick and Clark & Sandra Houston of Darien; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday morning (May 20, 2010) starting at 10A.M. A graveside service will be held Thursday morning (May 20, 2010) at 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrews Cemetery in Darien with Rev. Albert Gober officiating. Frye Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
