Nahunta – Margaret Annie Foerman Dixon, 83, of Nahunta passed away Wednesday (January 26, 2022) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Born in Homerville, GA her parents were Frank Charlie Foerman and Elma O’Neal Foerman. She is also preceded in death by her husband, George “Walter” Dixon; and 3 siblings, LaFaine Waters, Katherine Mancil and Buddy Foerman.
Margaret was a homemaker and a member of Nahunta Church of God. She enjoyed doing word puzzles.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Chase (Jason) of Nahunta; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Greg Chesser (Ashley) of Poplar Bluff, Mo, Chris Getts (Lucy) of Van Buren, MO and Steve Getts of Van Buren, MO; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul Foerman (Darlene) of Dallas, GA; 3 sisters, Frances Crews of Folkston, Ruth Ross of Brunswick and Odetha Driggers of Mulberry, FL; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Monday evening (January 31, 2022) from 5pm – 7pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (February 1, 2022) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Florey officiating. Burial will follow in Bachlott Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Getts, Seth Getts, Coy Getts, Steve Getts, Jesse Chesser and Tanner Fox.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
