Nahunta – Adam Allen Eugene Ammons, 51, of Nahunta passed away Saturday (February 1, 2025) at Southeast Ga. Health Systems in Brunswick, GA.
Adam was born in Blackshear, GA. and his father was Richard Ammons and the late Mary Ann Davis Ammons which was his adopted mother. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ammons Hickox; father, Edward Howe; granny, Mary Crosby; 2 brothers, Brian Howe and Charles Crosby; 2 aunts, Rita Howard and Cheryl Wainright.
Adam worked for Paulk Timber as a logger. He was a member of Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the Ga. bulldogs, working as a logger, playing the guitar, watching nascar racing, gun collecting, and most of all spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Candace Renee Howard Ammons of Nahunta; 3 sons, Devin Crosby (Alexis) of Waynesville, Dalton Ammons of Waynesville, Boss Ammons of Nahunta; 2 daughters, Elizabeth Chevalier of MO, Rachael Ammons of Nahunta; 3 grandchildren, Kinslee Crosby, Kalyn Crosby, Kamri Crosby; his father, Richard Ammons; 5 sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie Carter of Nahunta, April Beckham (Will) of Nahunta, Caroline Ammons of Waynesville, (FS) Amanda Tillman of Nahunta, Heather Ammons (Billy) of Nahunta; also several other relatives and a host of friends.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday (February 8, 2025) at 2 PM at Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
