Alex Lee

Hoboken – Alex Lee, 84, of Hoboken, passed away Saturday (May 27, 2023) at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Nahunta, Ga., his parents were Owen G. Lee and Emmie Nelson Lee. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Owen Lee, Jr., and Carlton Lee; 2 sisters, Josephine Cason and Aline Crawford.

Alex was a member of the High Bluff Primitive Baptist Church. He worked for the Brantley Co. Road Dept operating heavy equipment. He loved fishing, fox and deer hunting, enjoyed tending to his cows, gardening, working on his farm, tending to his grape vines. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Trudy Joann Altman Lee of Hoboken; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Art Lee of Blackshear, David Lee (Kelli) of Waycross, Aaron Lee (Traci) of Brunswick; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Valerie Herrin of Hoboken and Pollyanna Parker (Lee) of Perry, Ga.; 14 grandchildren, Amanda Schaneman) (Zac), Krisanne Schnedeker (Dustin),  Alex Lee, Dylan Lee, Jessica Gray (Lee), Jacob Herrin (Emmalee), Zachary Parker, Austin Parker (Brittany), Megan Norris (Lucas), Bailey Lee, Emma Lee, Wyatt Lee, Briana Lee, and Ethan Lee; 10 great grandchildren, Chloe Schaneman, Sophie Schaneman, Coastin Schnedeker, Jencey King, Jaylee Gray, Jaxon Herrin, Adalyn Parker, Bellamy Parker, Sam Norris, and Amelia Norris.; 1 sister, Shirley Driggers of Hoboken. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Monday (May 29, 2023) starting at 5PM at his residence; 185 O.G. Lee Road Hoboken, GA. 31542.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday (May 30, 2023) at 11AM at High Bluff Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Daniel Drawdy and Elder Eddie Lee officiating. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Troy Wainright, Bruce Wainright, Roger Crews, Sydney Lee, Richard Lee, and Stephen Booth.

Honorary pallbearers will be the grandsons.
