Hickox – Mr. Aley Jackson Lee, 80, of Hickox passed away Friday afternoon (July 16, 2021) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Hickox, GA his parents were Randle Ephram Lee and Nancy Lois Hale Lee. He is preceded in death by 2 great grandchildren, River Nichols and an Angel Baby; his brother, George Lee; and his 2 sisters, Evelyn Keen and Mildred Ingram.
Aley was a retired mechanic for Delta Airlines and a member of Hickox Baptist Church. He was a song director for many years. He loved the Lord, his family, his church, his Delta family and music. Aley also enjoyed fishing and farming.
Survivors include: his wife of 47 years, Myrle S. Lee of Hickox; 5 children Nancy Stafford of Blackshear, Randle Lee (Linda) of McClenny, FL, Hope Smith (Paul) of Hickox, David Lee (Stephanie) of Waycross & Daryl Hand (Karen) of Nahunta; 11 grandchildren, Jessica Edenfield, Chrissy Nichols, Travis Hand, Michael Lee, Tiffany Hutson, Chelsea Hand, Emily Smith, Courtland Kight, Franklin Lee, Kaycee Douglas, & Jordan Smith; 24 great grandchildren; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon (July 18, 2021) from 5pm – 7pm at Hickox Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Monday morning (July 19, 2021) at 11am at Hickox Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Hendrix and Rev. Jamie Giddens officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hickox Baptist Church for their community outreach programs.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Smith, Franklin Lee, Daniel Batten, Lamar DePratter, Larry Johns and G.W. Knox.
Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
