Alice Marie Knight Murray

Alice Marie Knight Murray, 83 of Kingsland, passed away Sunday (January 13, 2019) at her residence following a brief illness.

Born in St. Simons Island, GA., her parents were Calvin Knight and Katie Beasley Beaver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Duncan Murray; two sisters, Sarah Lorraine Knight, Jeanni Hernandez; three brothers, Joe Knight, Bobby Eugene Knight, and Ernest Knight.

Alice was a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was also a committee member of the Woodbine Opry and a member of the Red Hat Society. She worked many years for 7 Eleven, Dollar General, and Gillman Paper.

Survivors include her three sons Timothy Lawrence Murray, of Kingsland, Tony Bloodworth, and Ronnie Eugene Bloodworth, of Kansas; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Thursday (January 17, 2019) from 5-7PM at Friendship Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday (January 17, 2019) at 7PM at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Buchholz officiating.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday morning (January 18, 2019) at 10AM at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Friendship Baptist Church.
