Aline Moore Chesser

Jacksonville – Aline Moore Chesser, 88, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday evening (January 17, 2019) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Nahunta, GA her parents were Arthur Moore and Ocie Jacobs Moore. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Chesser; a son, Nicky Chesser; 2 brothers, Delmus Moore and Bill Moore; and a sister, Louise Jones.

Aline was a cosmetologist and a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She loved her children, Jesus, singing in the choir, doing hair, traveling, visiting with others, and making cakes.

Survivors include her 4 children and their spouses, Steve Franklin Chesser (Pat) of Kingsport, TN, Joy Knight (Jim) of Jacksonville, Brenda Horne (Bucky) of Palm City, FL, and Jay Allen Chesser of Jacksonville; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jo Bonventre (Frank) of Jacksonville; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Monday evening (January 21, 2019) starting at 6PM at Franklin Street Baptist Church, 2521 Franklin St. Jacksonville, FL 32206.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (January 22, 2019) at 11am at Franklin Street Baptist Church, 2521 Franklin St. Jacksonville, FL 32206 with Rev. Terry Gore, Rev. Nicolas Khoury, and Pastor Bucky Horne officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Nahunta, GA Tuesday afternoon (January 22, 2019) at 3PM.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
