Allen Michael Phillips

Allen "Mike" Michael Phillips, 58, of Brunswick died Wednesday afternoon (July 21, 2010) at Southeast Georgia Health System after an extended illness. Born in Augusta, GA his parents were Alza and Alice Lee Phillips, Sr. Allen was a boilermaker for the Local 26 of Savannah, a Mason and a member of Beverly Shore Baptist Church in Brunswick. He was also a hardworking family man, loving husband and father and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 38 yrs, Debbie Arnold Phillips of Brunswick; 4 children, Tammy Tennis of Richmond Hill, Michael Phillips of Pennsylvania, Donna Phillips Quistian and Lisa Estrada both of Brunswick ;a step-son, Stacy Jackson of Canton, Mississippi 9 grandchildren; a brother, Alza "Buddy" Phillips, Jr. of Brunswick; a sister, Alice Faye Godfrey of Waynesville; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday evening (July 23, 2010) starting a 6:00PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Saturday morning (July 24, 2010) at 11:00AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Bro. Alza "Buddy" Phillips, Jr. and Rev. Horace Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Highsmith Cemetery in Waynesville. Pallbearers will be Steven Tennis, Trey Neal, Mike Scott, Shawn Lawrence, Charles Taylor, Dennis Perrotte, Arturo Mejia and Mauro Posada.
