Amy Melissa Johns Davis, 41 of Middleburg, passed away Monday morning (August 25, 2014) at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL. following a brief illness. Born in Jesup, GA., her parents are Herman Leroy Johns and the late Lois Frances Wright Mathis. She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Ruth Johns. Amy was of the Church of God Faith. She worked as a Bus Driver for Clay Co. Transportation, and she loved playing on the internet, on Facebook. Survivors include her son, Chris Chapman, of Middleburg, FL; a granddaughter, Nevaeh Brown; her parents, Herman and Bonnie Johns, of Middleburg, FL.; a brother, Leroy Johns, of Keystone Heights, FL.; 6 sisters and brothers-in-law, Suzie Hines, of Jacksonville, FL., Julie Drawdy, of Jesup, Mary Ann Johns (Ronnie), of Jesup, Pam New (Mac), of Gainesville, FL., Teresa Fogarty, of Gainsville, FL., and Tonna Kelly Lott, of Gainsville, FL. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday (August 27, 2014) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday (August 28, 2014) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Bachlott Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Toby Lane, Gordon Johns, Buddy Hodges, Ricky Cook, Tyler Chambless, and Stephen Chambless. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
