Nahunta – Andrew “Andy” William Roberson, 63, of Nahunta passed away Thursday evening (April 16, 2020) at the Hospice House in Waycross after an extended illness.
Born in Brunswick, GA his parents were James Roberson and Myrtice Kirkland Roberson. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Edward Durden.
Andy was a truck driver and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed wood working and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Marie Lee Roberson of Nahunta; a stepson, Ryan South (Sarah) of Hoboken; a stepdaughter, Christina Rentz of Jesup; 5 step grandchildren, Cannon South, Claudia South, Riley South, Morgan Rentz and Abel Hartmann; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawton “Bubba” Durden (Teresa); 3 sisters & brothers-in-law, Marquita “Fancy” VanKirk (John) of Arizona, Sabra Rogers Hardy (Bert) of Nahunta and Angela Crews (Mitchell) of Hortense; step-mother, Eleanor Roberson of Hortense; his aunt, Jeanette Thrower of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Due to COVID 19, the family will have a private service at a later date.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
