Angel Kersey

Hortense-Angela "Angel" Marie Kersey Brooker, 40 of Hortense, passed away Wednesday morning (November 14, 2012) at her residence following a brief illness. Born in Jesup GA, her parents are Patricia D. Wilson Kersey, of Atkinson, and the late Johnny B. Kersey. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Caitalin Brooker. Angela attended Waynesville Baptist Church. She graduated from Waycross College with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and then she graduated from College of Coastal GA in Brunswick, with her RN Degree. Angela worked many years as a Lab Technician, she loved her grandchildren and taking care of them, growing flowers, and she was a great cook. She always took care of her family and was always there when needed. Survivors include her husband, David Garrison, Sr., of Atkinson; six children and their spouses, Austin Coy Brooker & Fiancé, (Pebbles Daniels), of Nahunta, Alex Brooker, of Waynesville, Erik Lee (Brittany) Walker, of Brunswick, David Bryan (Amber) Garrison, Jr., of Waynesville, Nicholas Garrison, of Waynesville, and Ryan Hendrix, of Hickox; 2 grandchildren, Kynslea Garrison and Payton Walker; her mother Patricia D. Kersey, of Atkinson; a brother, Richard Kersey, of Waynesville; 3 nieces, Candace, Amelia, & Madison Kersey. Also several aunts, uncles, and other relatives. Visitation will be Friday evening (November 16, 2012) at 6 PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Memorial Service will be held Friday evening (November 16, 2012) at 7 PM, at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Sheldon Rowell officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.
