Anita 'Ann' Claxton Morrison

Riverside Community- Mrs. Anita "Ann" Claxton Morrison, 71, of The Riverside Community died Friday morning (November 15, 2013) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, FL her parents were John Ray and Lucille Winston Claxton. She is also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Jacob Lane Morrison and Jared Oliver Lane. Mrs. Ann was a homemaker and a member of Hickox Baptist Church for 34 years. Also she was the organist and a Sunday School Teacher for Hickox Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, collecting antiques and spending time with her family. Survivors include her Husband of 53 years, Donald R. Morrison of Riverside Community; a Son and Daughter-in-law, Randy & Sharon Morrison of Blackshear; 4 Grandchildren and their spouses, Dustin & Angel Morrison of Riverside, Crista & Steven Gibson of Winokur, Josh Lane and Sky Morrison both of Blackshear; 6 Great Grandchildren, Will Morrison, Desiree Wilsion, Kourtni Morrison, Zach Gibson, Brayden Gibson and Raeleigh Gibson; Brother and Sister-in-law, John Rayford & Debbie Claxton of Jacksonville; Sister, Judy Brown of Jacksonville; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Sunday evening (November 17, 2013) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Monday morning (November 18, 2013) at 10AM at Hickox Baptist Church with Rev. Vance Colley, Dr. W. Derrell Rentz, Rev. Bud Henley and Rev. Jamie Giddens officiating. Burial will follow in Bachlott Cemetery in Bachlott. Pallbearers will be Bill Giddens, Charles O'Quinn, Dalton Dowdy, Danny Roberson, Daniel Batten and Randolph Delaney. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Hickox Baptist Church and the Sr. Men's Sunday School Class. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
