Anita Drury Martin,"Granny Neet", 69, of Jesup died Monday afternoon (May 24, 2010) at Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Waynesville, GA her parents were Floyd Atkinson and Doris Aline Jacobs Drury. She is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Norma Evonne Drury and Adelaide D. Ivey and a Grandson, Jason D. Hart. Anita was a retail clerk with "Lil' Champ/Jiffy" where she had worked for 14 years in the Jesup area before retiring. She had worked over 35 years in the retail business, Anita was Elvis's #1 fan, and she loved her family and friends and enjoyed fishing. Always there to help others whenever they needed her. Survivors include 3 children and their spouses, David & Tammy Martin of Evans, GA, John & Rhonda Martin of Brunswick and Mavis Cox of Jesup; 7 grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher Martin, Nick Martin, Keith & Valerie Martin, Misti & Brad Lang, Kenneth Sweat, Kimberly Hart and Catherine Cox; 7 Great Grandchildren, Kaitlin Martin, Halle Martin, Rylee Martin, Lexi Lang, Kamryn Martin, Emily Sweat, and Scylar Hart; 5 siblings and their spouses, Laverne Drury Frye, Gerald F. & Rudy Drury, Loretta D. & Wayne Bishop and Irma D. Moody all of Jesup and Myra D. & Jesse Perkins of Lakeland, FL; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (May 26, 2010) from 6-9PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Thursday morning (May 27, 2010) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Sheldon Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery, Hortense. Pallbearers will be Allen Hart, David Evors, Keith Martin, Olin Greer, Ernest Frye and Brad Lang . Arrangement are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
