Anna Walker Rhoden

Nahunta – Anna Laura Walker Rhoden, 65, of Nahunta passed away Sunday (August 23, 2020) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, GA.

Born in Jacksonville, FL., her parents were James Walker and Mottie Lola Smith Walker. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Annie Walker, a sister; Gail Moore, 2 brothers; Jimmy Walker and Eustace Walker and her dog Janney.

Anna was a member of Hickox Christian Faith Chapel. She loved cooking and spending time with family.

She is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law; Amy Lynn Rhoden of Hickox and Jennifer Williams (Chad) of Alcoa, TN, 2 Grandchildren; Tayten Howard and Connor Cox, 2 brothers and a sister-in-law; Dr. Thomas Lamar Walker (Pat) of Augusta and Edgar Lavelle Walker of Opelika, AL, 2 sisters and a brother-in-law; Gina Janney (Wayne) of Opelika, AL and Tricia Dudley of Winston Salem, a sister-in-law, Amy Walker, of Huntsville,AL., 2 special friends; Arnelle Spivey of Waycross and Nikki O’Neal of Nahunta. Also, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules of social distancing and face mask are recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

A visitation will be held Tuesday evening (August 25, 2020) starting at 6 PM at Frye Funeral Home Chapel, Nahunta, GA.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning (August 26, 2020) at 11 AM at Frye Funeral Home Chapel, Nahunta, GA., with Rev. Chuck Allen and Bro. Spencer Kelly officiating.

Interment will be at the New Hope Cemetery in Hickox, GA.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Moore, Shane Moore, Josh Wainright, Wayne Altman, Jeremy Crews and Kurt Walker.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
