Nahunta – Annie Lou Blount Williams, 75, of Nahunta passed away Friday morning (June 17, 2022) at Bayview Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Born in Hickox, GA her parents were Samuel “Jr.” Blount and Lillie Strickland Blount. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Wanette Johnson.
Annie Lou was a bus driver for the Brantley County School systems and a member of Hickox Praise and Worship. She loved singing, reading and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, James Harold Williams of Nahunta; a son and daughter-in-law, Walter Lee Storey (Cammie) of Patterson; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Alana McCarty and Laura Hollingsworth (Justin) all of Nahunta; 5 grandchildren, Randall McCarty (Angel) of Nahunta, Ryan McCarty (Annie) of Waynesville, Russell McCarty (Tabbi) of Waynesville, Gracelyn Hollingsworth of Nahunta and Lee Storey (Jasmine) of Patterson; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Nadean Taylor of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday (June 20, 2022) starting at 10am at Hickox Praise and Worship.
A funeral service will be held Monday morning (June 20, 2022) at 11am at Hickox Praise and Worship with Rev. Otis Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Williams, Randall McCarty, Ryan McCarty, Russell McCarty, Lee Storey and Tommy Marshall.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
