Annie Mae Morgan Brauda

Annie Mae Morgan Brauda, 74 of Hortense, passed away Wednesday (May 20, 2015) at her residence following an extended illness. Born in Screven, GA., her parents were Allen Morgan and Ethel Moody Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald "Ronnie" Smith, Jr.; and two sons, Ronald Smith, III, and Scott Brauda. Annie was a homemaker and a member of Satilla Missionary Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed planting flowers and her pets. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Emery Brauda, of Hortense; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda Smith Lee (Wade), Teresa Lynn Boatwright (Tony), and Julie Ann Moon (Ben), all of Hortense; 9 grandchildren, Fairiby Carter Hanchey, Christian Rushing, Whitney Smith, Daniel Smith, Stephanie Smith, Rachel Lee Roberson, Emily Lee Crews, Jessica Cochran, and Colby Brauda;7 great grandchildren, Cora Crews, Cain Roberson, Ellie Crews, Carter Hanchey, Madison Hanchey, Sophia Smith, and Paxton Cochran; 2 sisters, Betty M. Anderson, and Frances Sloan, both of Hortense. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday (May 21, 2015) starting at 6PM, at the residence of Wade and Rhonda Lee; 8090 Hortense Rd. Hortense, GA. 31543. Funeral Services will be held Friday morning (May 22, 2015) at 11AM at Satilla Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Loren Bryant and Rev. R.C. Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in the Satilla Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wade Lee, Ben Moon, Tony Boatwright, Roger Sloan, Daniel Smith, Justin Roberson, and Stephen Crews. Honorary pallbearers will be the Satilla Missionary Baptist Church family. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing our online registry at fryefh.com.
