Waynesville-Annie Pearl Blount Adcock, 79, of Waynesville died Saturday evening at Bayview Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born in Brunswick, Ga, her parents were Thomas "Tom" and Annie Thompson Blount. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Adcock. She worked for many years as a waitress at the Gold House Restaurant. Annie was a member of Little Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ann & Dennis Compton, of Waverly; 2 grandchildren and their spouses, Sunshine & Rob Stokes, of Hortense, Carrie & Justin Parrish, of Jacksonville, Fl.; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Ernest Sr., & Gloria Blount, of Hortense, Archie Blount, of Jacksonville; 1 sister, Deloras Blount, of Jacksonville; 3 nephews, Charles Stokes, of Waynesville, Rob Stokes, of Hortense, and Terry Mock, of Jacksonville, Fl.; 2 nieces, Mary Ethel Benton, of Pembroke, Ga, and Annie Faye Smith, of Brunswick. Also several other relatives. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday afternoon( March 14, 2012) at 2PM at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Hickox officiating.
