Annie Ruth Perkins

Hortense – Mrs. Annie Ruth Rowell Perkins, 93, of Hortense passed away Thursday (April 7, 2022) at her residence after an extended illness.
Born in Hortense, GA her parents were Barney William Rowell and Alja Jane Stewart Rowell. She is also preceded in death by her husband, George Lee Perkins; a son, William Perkins; 2 brothers, Glenn Rowell and Cornelius Rowell; and a sister, Lavonne Howard.
Mrs. Annie Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Hortense Church of God of Prophecy. She loved being with her family and church family, going fishing, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Lee Perkins (Linda) of Converse, TX, David E. Perkins (Shirley) of Waycross and Frankie Perkins (Marsha) of Lawrenceville, GA; a daughter, Deloris Howard of Hortense; daughter-in-law, Pam Perkins of Belvedere, SC; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Vonice Brooks of Hortense; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Monday morning (April 11, 2022) from 9:30pm -10:30pm at Hortense Church of God of Prophecy.
A graveside service will be held Monday morning (April 11, 2022) at 11am at Hortense Cemetery with Bishop Rob Hutto officiating.
Pallbearers will be her family members.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
