Arla Ellafay Morgan Truett

Mableton – Arla Ellafay Morgan Truett, 82, of Mableton passed peacefully Thursday afternoon (December 24, 2015) at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, GA after an extended illness.

She was born in Brunswick, GA on November 4, 1933 to Horace Cecil and Minnie Verna Jacobs Morgan, Sr. She is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Willetta Highsmith and Janie Jeanette Morgan.

Mrs. Arla was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved to spend her time quilting, crafting and coloring.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis Wayne Truett , Sr. of Mableton, GA; her 4 children and their spouses, Teresa Lee & Dean Luck of Waynesville, Dennis Wayne & Cindy Truett of Mableton, GA, Zada Ann & Keith Thomas of Hickox, and Lewis Wayne Truett, Jr (Sam Porperfield) of Woodstock, GA; 9 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; 13 Great Great Grandchildren; her sister, Frances Thomas of Raybon; brother and sisters-in-law, H.C. & Maxine Morgan of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening (December 27, 2015) from 6pm-9pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Monday morning (December 28, 2015) at 11am at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Rob Lewis Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brian Dean Little, David Wayne Johns, J.R. Hopkins, Danny Thomas, Zachary Truett, and Levi Duncan.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
