Arnie Lavell Morgan

Nahunta - Arnie Lavell Morgan, 69, of Nahunta died Saturday morning (August 10, 2013) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Nahunta, GA his parents were Isaac Eugene and Maude Mae Lyons Morgan. He is also preceded in death by a son, Richard Lavell Morgan and 4 brothers, Donald Morgan, Jesse Morgan, Hugh Morgan and Elton Morgan. Arnie was a boilermaker for B& W and attended Raybon Church of God of Prophecy. Also he loved hunting, fishing and playing the guitar. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Alan & Selena Morgan of Nahunta; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen & Ted Niece of Nahunta; 5 grandchildren, Cody Moore, Kyle Moore, A.J. Morgan, Alex Morgan and Sarah Beth Morgan; the mother of his children, Marty Morgan of Nahunta; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Gerald & Betty Morgan of Nahunta, Lannis Morgan of Hortense and Kenny Morgan of Nahunta; 2 sisters, Rita Lewis and Hester Mae Dowling both of Brunswick, GA; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Sunday evening (August 11, 2013) starting at 6pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon (August 12, 2013) at 4pm at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Dean and Rev. Hilton Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Rob Lewis Cemetery, Raybon. Pallbearers will be Jesse Morgan, Jeff Morgan, Gary Lewis, Lannis Lewis, Derek Lewis and Douglas Lewis.
