Arvin Newton Young

February 20, 1940 — July 23, 2010

Mr. Arvin Newton Young,70, of Waynesville died late Friday afternoon in The Satilla Care Center in Waycross after a long illness. Born in Ashburn, Georgia he was the son of Newton Gresham and Willie Mae Wright Young. Mr. Young was of the Baptist Faith and had served his Country in The U.S. Army and also The U.S. Air Force, at which time he served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He love spending time with his family and was a avid NASCAR Fan. Also a member of the NRA and The Disabled American Veterans. Preceded in death by his Parents, also 3-Brothers, Horace, Henry and Freddie Young. He is survived by his loving wife, Syble Kersey Young, 7-Daughters and Their Husbands, Teresa and Shannon Bishop, of Albany, GA., Susan and Wendell Barwick, of Rochelle, GA., Lisa and John Bengal, of Miles City, Montana, Cindy and Randy Morgan, of Waycross, GA., Amanda Young, Lajuan and J.J. Stoddard and Jennifur Young, all of Waynesville, Many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, 6-Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Wilma and Jeff Bagley, of Waynesville, Joyce and Glenn Stephens, of Ludowici, Carol and Sheldon McDowell, of Waynesville, Barbara and Jake Jones, of Alma, Gail and Roy Warner, of Hortense and Mary Ward, of Moultrie, GA., Also several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the graveside. Graveside services will be held Monday (July 26, 2010) at 11:00 A.M. from the Lane Cemetery in Hortense with Rev. Ion Johns officiating. Pallbearers will be J.J. Stoddard, Ashley Martin, Phillip Lyons, Chucky Kersey, Steven Young and Junior Warner. Frye Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
