Barbara Ann Barnes Mobley

Mrs. Barbara Ann Barnes Mobley, 53, of Waynesville died Tuesday morning (August 10, 2010) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Brunswick, GA her parents were Clifford "C.L." Lawrence and Grace Lee Anderson Barnes, Jr. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Corinne "Tink" Johns. Barbara was a homemaker and a member of Under His Wings Church. Survivors include her husband Robert James Mobley, Jr.; 4 children & their spouses, Marty Roberson of Brunswick, Amber & Jonathan Durrence of Brunswick, Christy & James Lee of North Carolina and Robert "Little" Mobley of Brantley Co; 9 grandchildren, Joshua Crum, Daly Roberson, Elizabeth Durrence, Emory Durrence, James Lee, Dalton Lee, Devin Lee, Jakob Lee and Morgan Lee; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Brenda Dahlgren, Betty Bennett and Bonnie & John Daly all of Brunswick; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday evening (August 12, 2010) starting at 6 P.M. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon (August 13, 2010) at 12 Noon at Under His Wings Church with Rev. Chad Middleton and Rev. Clayton Edgy officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Anderson, David Dahlgren VI, Allen Lewis, Doby Strickland, Dodge Roberson, Jason Young and Jody Harris.
