Barry Colin Wainright

Barry Colin Wainright,73, of Nahunta, passed away Saturday (April 4,2020) at Landmark Hospital in

Savannah, GA. following an extended illness.

Born in Folkston, GA., his parents were the late Woodrow and Mary Elizabeth “Lee” Wainright.

Barry retired from Gilman Paper Company in St. Mary’s GA and served in The United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.

He loved reading, hunting, and spending time with family.

Survivors include his two sons, Dezi Wainright of Macon, GA. and Shay Wainright of Raleigh, NC.;

his daughter, Rita Wainright also of Raleigh, NC; two brothers and their spouses, Charles Devant Wainright

(Vickie) of Hickox, and Rudolph Wainright (Sinie) also of Hickox; 1 sister and her spouse, Rebecca

Barton (Ronnie) of Aiken, SC. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Due to COVID-19, the family will be having a private graveside service Monday (April 6,2020) at

Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Trent Wainright, Corey Wainright, Heath Wainright, Troy Wainright, Leon Thrift, and

Ronnie Barton.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
