Bayless Marie Lyons

Hortense- Bayless “Marie” Travis Lyons, 72 of Hortense, passed away Wednesday (December 8, 2021) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Born in Helena, Arkansas, her parents were James Travis and Goldie Ray Travis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Martin Lyons; and her daughter, Melissa Hand.
Marie was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, making people laugh, and telling jokes.
Survivors include her 3 sons Samuel Lyons, Lamar Lyons, Michael Hand, all of Hortense; daughter, Patricia Manning, also of Hortense; 12 grandchildren, Scott, Steven, Autumn, Jewel, Bennie, Victoria, Nathan, Justin, Brianna, Nicolas, Aaron Michael, and Destiny; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Johnny Travis (Kay), of Arizona, Addis Travis, of Hortense, Dean Travis, of Poppelville; 2 sisters, Kay Jeffries, of Nahunta, and Margueritte Stanbery, of Louisiana; Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday (December 10, 2021) starting at 6PM at Mrs. Lyons residence; 1737 Boots Harrison Rd. Hortense, GA 31543.
Graveside Service will be held Saturday (December 11, 2021) at 2PM at Lyons Cemetery with Rev. Andy Davis officiating.
Pallbearers will be Justin Manning, Nathan Lyons, Nicolas Manning, Lamar Lyons, Billy Branch, and Chris Spiecher.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
