Waycross- Bernice Ila Rowell Drury Waters of Waycross died Monday morning (March 21, 2011) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Trudy, Georgia her parents were David Tillman & Minnie Mae Manning Rowell. She is also preceded in death by her 1st. husband, Mac Drury and her husband James "J.W." Waters. Mrs. Waters was a member of University Blvd. Church of God and worked many years in the gift shop at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Danny L. & Barbara Drury of Waycross; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Drury & Adolph Davis of Blackshear; 8 grandchildren, Dearin Drury, Michelle Drury, Jennifer Drury, Becky Eunice, Joni Rowe, Deana Aldridge, Les Brauda and Chad Brauda; 9 great grandchildren, Kalen, Ethan, Seth, April, Morgan, Chase, Kayden, Kaylei and Mica; 2 great great grandchildren, Zoey and Gage; a brother and sister-in-law, R.T. & Selma Rowell of Trudy; a sister, Wilma Hamil of Jacksonville, FL; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (March 22, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning (March 23, 2011) at 11AM at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Franklin Peacock and Rev. Jerry Weathersby officiating. Burial will follow in Raulerson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Brauda, Leslie Brauda, Dearing Drury and Brian Rowe. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com..
