Betty Jean Mcguire

Nahunta-Mrs. Betty Jean Ammons McGuire,83,of Nahunta died Friday afternoon (Jan. 31, 2014)at The Satilla Hospice House in Waycross after an extended illness. Born in Atkinson, Georgia she was the daughter of James Marion and Addie Linker Ammons. A member of The Nahunta First Baptist Church, she had retired from The Bank of America as Head Bank Clerk of Accounts. She loved her family and enjoyed working with the Brantley County Historical Society. She was preceded by her parents, husband and her children. Mrs. Betty was survived by several relatives. A Memorial service will be held at The Nahunta First Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Randy Carson officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Ammons Cemetery.
