Betty Johns Butler

Betty Johns Butler, 73 of Sevierville, TN., passed away Tuesday (September 16, 2014) at LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, TN., following an extended illness. Born in Winokur, GA., her parents were Sylvester Dick Johns and Connie Wainright Johns. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Barney Stanley Butler, Sr.; a daughter, Barbara McGill; a brother; and 2 sisters. Mrs. Betty was of the Pentecostal Faith. She loved Church, making jewelry, bake sales, yard sales, and flea markets. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Survivors include her 2 daughters, Debra Underwood and Connie Branch, both of Sevierville, TN.; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Jack Johns (Janie), and Dean Johns, all of Nahunta; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye Wilson (Jim), of Kentucky; A special friend who she called her adopted daughter, Delta Murphy, of TN. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Service will be held Saturday (September 20, 2014) at 5PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Ion Johns, Rev. Otis Johns, and Rev. John Cleveland officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, from 3PM-5PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made toward the service.
