Betty Nell Frost

Waynesville – Betty Nell Hill Frost, 87, of Waynesville passed away Saturday afternoon (January 28, 2023) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after an extended illness.

Betty Nell Hill, business woman, seamstress, artisan, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother,was born in Royston, Georgia, August 27, 1935. She is the fourth daughter and seventh child of twelve children born to Anderson Nathaniel Hill, Sr (1891-1975) and Pearl Carlton Hill (1904-2005). The Hill's for many years were farmers beginning in South Carolina, moving to several places in Georgia before finally settling in Brunswick, Georgia. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Frank William Frost; 2 sons, Guerry Dewayne Frost and Jimmy Jerome Frost; and several siblings.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church. Betty Nell attended Glenn Academy in Brunswick graduating in 1954. She loved crocheting with her grandbabies, baking cakes, making wedding dresses, sewing, and making corn shuck flowers. Betty’s favor color was yellow and she loved butterflies and birds.

Survivors include her son, Guy Vernon Frost of Valdosta; 3 grandchildren, David William Frost (Kristen) of Waynesville, Sherri Teston of Pembrooke and Tina Milese Traver (Alan) Tampa, FL; 8 great grandchildren, Jesse Lajuenesse, Makinsy Frost, Orianna Lajuenesse, Eric Frost, Megan Frost, Milee Rooks, Lita Hatheway and Sophia Rooks; a brother and sister-in-law, Jr. Hill (Linda) of Brunswick; a sister, Myrtle Hill of Brunswick; daughter-in-law, Nina Frost, of Waynesville, GA; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon (February 25, 2023) at 2pm at Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
