Bishop Hugh Dellis Arnold, 75 of Nahunta, passed away Tuesday (August 18, 2015) at Southeast Georgia Health System, in Brunswick, GA., following a short illness. Born in Hoboken, GA., his parents were Hugh Dorsey Arnold and Edna Lucille Carter Arnold. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Arnold. He loved the Lord and his Ministry, family, composing music and writing poems, and serving others. He was Minister for many years at Ivory Palace Church, he had a vision for the block on Main Street, and spent much of his time there. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Bonnie Berryhill Arnold, of Nahunta; two daughters and sons-in-law, Veronica and Chris Burgess, Angel and Randall McCarty, all of Nahunta; five grandchildren, Chase Burgess, of Nahunta, Austin Burgess (Katie), of Statesboro, Marissa Burgess, Garran and Ella McCarty, all of Nahunta, and a granddaughter on the way, Ava McCarty; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne Arnold (Gwen); a sister and brother-in-law, Pat Ennis (A.W.),all of Yulee, FL. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday evening (August 20, 2015) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Funeral Services will be held Friday (August 21, 2015) at 11AM at Ivory Palace Church with Bro. Randall McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in Pierce Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandson's, Chase Burgess, Austin Burgess, and his nephews, Gabriel Arnold, Aaron Arnold, Michael Arnold, and CJ Cannon. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
