Nahunta-Mr. Bobby "Mac" Cook, Jr., 59, passed away Friday afternoon (Mar. 10, 2017) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Waycross, Georgia he was the son of the late Bobby Cook, Sr. and Mrs. Sarah Amelia Johns Cook, of Nahunta. Also was preceded in death by his Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Jessie and Mable Lynes.
Mr. Bobby attended The Hickox Praise and Worship Church in Hickox, he had worked with Elbert Flowers Logging as a Cut down Machine Operator, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding in the woods.
Mr. Bobby is survived by his loving wife, of 40 yrs., Pam Lynes Cook, his mother, Sarah Amelia Johns Cook, of Nahunta, a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Stacy Cook, of Hortense, his daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Michael Foreman, of Waynesville, 9-Grandchildren, 2-great-grandchildren, 2-brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Tommy and Patricia Whaley, of Darien, GA., Ricky and Cathy Cook, of Nahunta, 2-sisters and a brother-in-law, Pam and John Alford, of Waycross and Cheryl Cook, of Nahunta, also several nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Monday evening (Mar. 13, 2017) starting at 6 PM at Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning (Mar. 14, 2017) at 11 AM at The Hickox Praise and Worship Church in Hickox with Rev. Otis Johns, Rev. Jason Marden, Rev. Michael Foreman and Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Dean, Alan Strickland, William Wainright, Vance Wilson, Travis Willis and Daryl Henderson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lorne Johns, Jerry Whaley and Larry Miller.
Interment will follow at The Knox Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
