Bobby Gene Sumner

Brunswick – Bobby Gene Sumner, 60, of Brunswick passed away Monday morning (December 9, 2024) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Brunswick, his parents were Gene Monroe Sumner and Violet “Estha” Harris Sumner Johns.

Bobby was a truckdriver and of the Baptist faith. He loved spending time with his family and being outdoors especially when it involved fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Sumner of Brunswick; 2 daughters, Bobbie Sue Sumner and Lainie Sumner both of Brunswick; a stepdaughter, Heather Kelley of VA; 3 stepsons, Isaiah Davis of Brunswick, Richard Davis of Hickox and Mike Kelley of VA; 18 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and one on the way; a brother and sister-in-law, Clyde Sumner (Glenda) of Jesup; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
