Brenda Lee Lane Thompson

Darien- Brenda Lee Lane Thompson, 49, of Darien died Tuesday night (August 30, 2011) at Southeast Georgia Health System after a brief illness. Born in Fort Myers, FL her parents were James Lee and Della Johnson Lane. Brenda was a homemaker and attended Darien Church of God. She was her husband Richard's sunshine. Also she loved flowers, roses and gardening. Survivors include her husband, Richard W. Thompson of Darien; 2 sons, Philip Thompson and Richard T. Thompson both of Darien; a daughter, Vanessa Thompson of Darien; 2 brothers, Michael Brown of Fort Myers, FL and James Lane of Waynesville; 4 sisters, Faye Crosby of Ludowici, Betty Thomas of Darien, Cathy Willis of Ludowici and Darleen Hagler of Fort Myers, FL.; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday evening (September 2, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon (September 3, 2011) at 2PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will be in H & T Cemetery in Jesup. Pallbearers will be James J. Lane, Paul L. Hall, David A. Thompson, Robert E. Thomas,Jr., Jimmy Waller Jr., Joshua L. Daniels, and Eugene Rooks. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
