Nahunta- Buddy Coleman Johns, 65, of Nahunta died Saturday evening (December 14, 2013) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross after an extended illness. Born in Hickox, GA his parents were Sylvester & Connie Wainright Johns. He is also preceded in death by 4 sisters, Pat Green, Loretta Wofford, Martha Sue Johns, and Joyce Johns. Buddy was a heavy equipment operator for Glynn Co Road Department and attended Ivory Palace Church. He also loved fishing, traveling and watching sports. He is survived by 2 Daughters and a son-in-law, Stacy Phillips and Nikki and Michael Hendrix all of Nahunta; 3 Grandchildren, Coleman Phillips, Joey Hendrix and Maegan Hendrix; 2 Brothers and a sister-in-law, Jack & Janie Johns and Dean Johns all of Nahunta; 2 Sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Butler of Tennessee and Faye & Jim Wilson of Kentucky; a special friend, Linda Davis of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (December 16, 2013) from 6-8PM at Frye Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon (December 17, 2013) at 2PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Ion Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Coleman Phillips, Joey Hendrix, Jeff Johns, Wyatt Blount, Jason Johns and Trey Keene. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
