Hickox – Buddy Crews, 64, of Hickox passed away Monday evening (April 20, 2020) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Nahunta, GA his parents were Raymond Crews and Estelle Howell Crews. He is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Macie Johns and Rosie Mae Dubose; and 3 brothers, Leonard Crews, James Crews and Framan Crews.
Buddy was a heavy equipment operator for Rowland Site Prep and was of the Church of God faith. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, riding dirt roads and just having fun.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Betty Sue “Susie” Crews of Hickox; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy Crews (Melissa) of Nahunta and John Morris (Brinte) of Miami; a daughter and son-in-law, Alisha Lane (Junior) of Nahunta; 4 grandchildren, Madison Lane, Gavin Crews, Kaitlyn Lane, and Jonathan “Bubba” Crews; a brother and sister-in-law, Horace Crews (Diane) of Alma; his special dog, Max; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Due to COVID-19, the family will be having a private graveside service Thursday (April 23, 2020) at New Hope Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
