Nahunta-Captain Robert H. Baker,74, of Nahunta died Thursday at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Boston, Massachusetts he was the son of Robert Henry Baker, Sr. and Florence Mary Gore Baker. He was also preceded in death by his son Robert "Bobby" Henry Baker, III. Capt. Baker served in the United States Army and was The Captain of The Emerald Princess before his retirement and illness and many other ships. He loved being on the seas and traveling the world. Survived by his loving wife Beverly MacDonald Baker, of Nahunta, his daughter, Kimberly "Kim" Joy Baker Ouellette, of Niceville, FL., 4-Grandchildren, Jesse, Jackie, Joseph and Maya. Also several other relatives. A Private Service will be held for Capt. Robert Henry Baker, Jr. by his family. Entombment will be in The Bosque Bello Cemetery in Fernandina Beach, Florida at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at fryefh.com.
