Lake City, Fl.-Carl Fredrick “Freddy” Osburn, 85 of Hoboken, passed away Sunday (July 17, 2016) at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, Fl., following an extended illness.
Born in Hunnington, West VA., his parents were Lye Osburn and Bertha Elizabeth Baker Osburn. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Meadows Osburn; a son, Carl Russell “Rusty” Osburn; and a sister, Phyllis Hesson.
Carl was retired from Bell Lines as a Truckdriver. He also served in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist Faith, and enjoyed watching westerns, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Carolyn Osburne, of West Virginia, and Jackie Sue and Tucker Williams, of West Virginia; many grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Jeannetta and Carl Ray, of West Virginia; three nieces, Tiffany and Lamar Albritton, of Nahunta, Melynda and Chris Barber, of Jacksonville, Tara Stephens, of Newbern, N.C.; a nephew, Greg Stephens, of Glen St. Mary’s; Close friends, Bony and Sandy Pendergrass. Also several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday evening (July 22, 2016) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday afternoon (July 23, 2016) at 2PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
Burial will follow in Hoboken City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Albritton, Justin Albritton, Stuart Pendergrass, Sidney Pendergrass, Greg Stephens, and Tommy Smith.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
