Carlton Moore

November 7, 1946 — September 2, 2012

Nahunta-Dempsey "Carlton" Moore, 65 of Nahunta, went home to be with the lord Sunday evening (September 2, 2012), following an extended illness. Born in Nahunta, Ga., his parents were Jasper and Grace Edwards Moore. He is also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Charles, Jimmy, and Harry Moore, and 2 sisters, Barbara and Molly Moore. Carlton was of the Baptist Faith, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Carlton worked many years at Brantley Telephone Company, where he retired. Survivors include 3 children and their spouses, Denise and Brian Edmunds, of Jesup, Dennis Moore, of North Carolina, and Diane and Steamer Chancey, of Waycross; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie Dubose, of Juniper, FL, Helen and Bert Crisp, of Fort Valley, GA, Paula and Glen Lee, of Hickox, and Lavonne and Earl Roberson, of Nahunta; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many special friends, Kathy Turner, Kim and Charlie Rewis, Conner, Isaac, and Emily Rewis; Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (September 4, 2012) at 6PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday morning (September 5, 2012) at 11AM, at Frye Funeral Home, with Rev. Raymond Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery, Lulaton. Pallbearers will be Tracy Hendrix, Terry Lee, Mike Dubose, Derek Roberson, Shane Moore, and Chad Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of BTC and Justin Johns. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Satilla Hospice, in Waycross, at 808 Evergreen Way Waycross, GA 31501 Family will be receiving friends at Carltons home at 16951 Raybon Rd. East Nahunta, GA 31553. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing our online registry at fryefh.com.
