Carol Dowling

Nahunta-Ms. Carol Diane Evans Dowling, 65 of Nahunta, passed away Sunday night (March 11, 2018) at Orange Park Medical Center, Jacksonville, Fl. following a brief illness.

Born in Macon, Ga. her parents were Marvin Evans and Wilda Floyd Evans. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Evans.

Carol was an accountant bookkeeper for Lewis & Raulerson at Friendly Express. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandbabies.

Survivors include her husband, Troy Dowling of 42 years; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry Dowling (Nicole) of Brunswick; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Erika Hoyt (Richard) of Brunswick, and Krissie Hagen (Rick) of Nahunta; 7 grandchildren, Davis Hoyt, Spalding Hoyt, Dylan Griffin, Sydney Hoyt, Kaden Griffin, Evan Griffin, and Elisabeth Dowling; 1 great grandchild, Cambralee Griffin; 1 brother, Gary Evans, of Macon.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (March 14, 2018) from 6PM- 9PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday (March 15, 2017) at 1PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Foster officiating. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Holton, Davis Hoyt, Richard Hoyt, Dylan Griffin, Raden Griffin, and Evan Griffin.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
