Catherine Johns Middleton

Nahunta – Catherine Johns Middleton, 67, of Nahunta passed away Monday morning (January 22, 2018) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Nahunta, GA her parents were George Martin Johns, Sr. and Flora Leoa Rowell Johns. She is also preceded in death by her son, Jamin Middleton; a brother, Layton Johns; a sister, Annie Ruth Johns; a niece, Beth Squires; and a nephew, Layton Johns, II.

Catherine was a beautician and attended Christian Faith Chapel. She also loved cooking and fixing hair.

Survivors include her husband, Greg Middleton of Nahunta; a son, Jason Middleton of Nahunta; 7 grandchildren, Bailey Middleton, Chevi Middleton (Jennifer), George Middleton (Emily), Brody Middleton, David “Thad” Middleton, Cason Middleton, and Garett Able all of Hickox; 2 great grandchildren, Elsie Middleton & Jeb Middleton of Hickox; sister, Margie Crews of Winokur; sister-in-law, Kathy Edwards; brother-in-law and sister-in-law and their 4 children, Michael & Mody Middleton of Valdosta; 2 nephews, Marty Crews and Adam Edwards; 2 nieces, Lara Forsyth and Katina Moody; also several other nieces, nephews, and other relatives. And a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (January 23, 2018) starting at 6PM at her residence, 3881 Bachlott Church Rd Nahunta Ga 31553.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday afternoon (January 24, 2018) at 2PM at Bachlott Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Allen, Rev. E.C. Crews, and Rev. Mike Hendrix officiating.

Pallbearers will be Barry Wainright, Chevi Middleton, George Middleton, Brody Middleton, David Middleton, and Rudolph Wainright.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
