St.Mary's- Cathy Lynn Harrell McCorkel, 59, of St. Mary's died Wednesday afternoon (October 15, 2014) at Shands in Jacksonville after an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, FL her parents were Robert Christopher and Leona Mary Dudding Harrell, Sr. She is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Martha Cribb and Rosemary Scofield. Cathy was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She loved her grandkids and reading. Survivors include her husband, Joseph McCorkel of St. Mary's; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Kimberly Harrell of St. Louis, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Mikayla Harrell, Gavin Harrell & Ava Harrell; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy & Chuck Powell of Rocky MT, NC, Patricia & Al Bishop of Brunswick and Jeannie & Gail Harrell of St. Mary's; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert Christopher & Cynthia Harrell, Jr. of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday morning (October 18, 2014) from 10-11am at the cemetery. A graveside service will be held Saturday morning (October 18, 2014) at 11am at Bickley Chapel Cemetery.
