Chad Elliott Johns

Douglas-Mr. Chad Elliott Johns,43,died Thursday evening (Jan. 3, 2013) in The Saint Joseph's Chandler Hospital in Savannah, GA. after a brief illness. Born in Live Oak, Florida he was the son of Willie Joe Johns, Sr. and Diana Blount Johns. He was also preceded in death by a Brother, Willie Joe Johns, Jr., Paternal Grandparents, Ruail and Lucille Johns, Maternal Grandparents, S.T. and Molly Blount. Chad worked in landscaping with The Coffee Community Support Center, he was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed wrestling and working puzzles. He is survived by his Brother Jonah Johns and a Sister Crystal Johns both of Nahunta, GA., also several Aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be Sunday evening (Jan. 6,2013) at Frye Funeral Home starting at 6 P.M. Funeral services for Chad will be held Monday afternoon (Jan. 7,2013) at 2 P.M. from The Southside Baptist Church with Rev, Jerry Johns, Rev. Charles Florey, Rev. Barney Butler and Bishop Hugh Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at Bethlehem Cemetery, Hickox, GA. Pallbearers will be Carl Heuett, Warren Thornton, Stephen Blount, Wesley Lee, James Lee, Tony Lee, and Wyatt Blount. Honorary Pallbearers will be Coffee Community Support Center Staff and Unison Behavioral Health Center Staff. In Lieu of flowers family request donations be made toward services.
