Charles Clarkson Bowman

Nahunta-Charles Clarkson Bowman, 81 of Nahunta, died Wednesday morning ( April 25, 2012) at Bayview Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born in Tazewell, VA., his parents were Alonzo and Ruby Sluss Bowman. Charles was a truck driver for Bethlehem Steel, and a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church. Survivors include a step-son and daughter-in-law, Jesse and Janet Walker, of Jacksonville; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Ann and Steve Weeks, also of Jacksonville, and a niece, Wanda Hawkins, of Tazewell, VA. A graveside service will be held Tuesday morning (May 1, 2012) at 11:00AM at Twin Rivers Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Jackson officiating. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
