Waynesville – Charlotte Virginia Caler Norfleet, 80, of Waynesville passed away Thursday afternoon (January 28, 2016) at her residence after a brief illness.
Born in Brunswick, GA her parents were Clarence and Mary Alice Caler. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Pearles Ray Norfleet; 2 sons, Claude Michael Norfleet and William Everette Norfleet ; a daughter, Donna Jean Norfleet; and 2 sisters, Annie Hall and Pauline Johnson.
Charlotte was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She loved cooking, baking and sewing and most of all loved being with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Norfleet of Waynesville, Danny & Lucy Norfleet of Waynesville and Raymond & JoAnn Norfleet of Hortense; 4 daughters and a son-in-law, Linda & Andy Taylor of Brunswick, Winda O’Quinn of Waynesville, Renea Daniels of Waynesville, and Maria Norfleet of Brunswick; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, C.P. & Nadine Caler of Brunswick, Claude & Joyce Caler of Brunswick, and David & Linda Caler of Atlanta; a sister, Alice Webster of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday (February 1, 2016) at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon (February 1, 2016) at 2pm at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Bishop H.E. Wheatly officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Waynesville.
Pallbearers will be Ricky O’Quinn, Colt Daniels, Daniel Norfleet, Aaron Taylor, Andy Taylor and Stephen Norfleet.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, GA.
