Chase Alexander Kemp

Nahunta- Chase Alexander Kemp, 10 month old and his mother Ms. April Lea McLaughlin Thornton, 32, both died Thursday (Sept. 27, 2012) from injuries they received in an automobile accident. Chase was born in Jesup, Georgia, his parents were, April Lea McLaughlin Thornton and Chad Anthony Kemp. A very happy little fellow Chase was always smiling and could light up a room with joy. Preceded in death by his Mother, April Lea McLaughlin Thornton, Great- Maternal-Grandfather, Redick Thornton and his Great- Paternal- Grandparents, Judith Golden (Jim) and Lester McLaughlin. Chase is survived by his Father, Chad Anthony Kemp, of Brunswick, Georgia ,2-brothers,Seth Anthony Kemp, of Brunswick, GA. and Caleb Hein , of Nahunta, GA. 2-sisters, Andrea McLaughlin, of Nahunta and Cora Paige Kemp, of Brunswick, GA., Paternal-Grandparents, Tina Taylor (Herb), of Brunswick, GA., Walter Gibson, Jr. "BowMan", of Waynesville, GA., Maternal-Grandparents Randy McLaughlin (Barbara), of Eden, N.Y., Rose Thornton Holliday (David), of Winter haven, Florida, Great- Maternal-Grandmother, Shirleen Thornton, of Waynesville, a Uncle, Adam Kemp (Laura), of Darien, GA., also several Aunts, Uncles and other relatives. Visitation for April and Chase will be 1 hour prior to services Sunday at The Waynesville Church of God. Services will be at 2P.M. Sunday (Sept. 30, 2012) at Waynesville Church of God , in Waynesville with Rev. James Evans, Rev. Jerry Johns and Bishop Hugh Arnold. Interment will follow in the family plot at Mount Olive Cemetery in Waynesville. Pallbearers will be Bobo Thornton, Robbie Thornton, Steven Thornton, Allen Thornton, David Hawkins, Robbie Morgan, Josh Thornton and Nick Roberson.
