Cheryl Anita Morgan Davis

Cheryl Anita Morgan Davis, 67 of Nahunta, passed away Tuesday morning (August 2, 2016) at Bayview Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Born in Viroqua, Wisconsin, her parents were Wayne LeRoy Davis and Julie Herrin Davis. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Casey Morgan; and three brothers, Kenneth Davis, Charlie Davis, and Jerry Davis.

Cheryl was of the Baptist Faith, and enjoyed sewing, yard work, house work, coloring and fishing. She worked many years as a waitress at the Gold House.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Clinton E. Davis, of Nahunta; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Morgan (Bonnie), of Nahunta; a daughter, Anita Johns of Nahunta; a stepson, Chris Davis of Nahunta; a stepdaughter, Becca Whisenant (Dwayne)of Hoboken; four grandchildren, Kristen Morgan Crews (Brandon), Kyle Morgan, James “Jay” Johns, Jeremy Johns; 2 great grandchildren, Kase Crews and Kannon Crews; four step grandchildren, Trevor Davis, Taylor Davis, Ali Whisenant, and Jackson Whisenant; a sister, Marian Allen of Hickox; and a special nephew, Phillip Wayne Davis of Spartanburg, SC; and also several other nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening (August 4, 2016) from 6PM-9PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday (August 5, 2016) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Ion Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Roy Herrin, J.R. Herrin, Sr., Don Herrin, Chris Davis, Trevor Davis, Carl Wilson, and Bicknell Manor.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
