Cheryl Ann Hickox

Hickox-Cheryl Ann Hickox, 59 of Hickox, passed away suddenly Wednesday (August 26, 2015) at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup. Born in Jacksonville, Fl., her parents are Gerald "Scamp" Thrift, of Hickox, and the late Dorothy Jeanette Rogers Thrift. She was a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church, and loved fishing, gardening, and taking care of her grandkids. Cheryl was retired from Brantley County Health Department, where she worked many years as a CNA. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Glenn W. Hickox, of Hickox; her son and daughter-in-law, Billy Hickox (Brenda), of Hickox, her daughter and son-in-law, Kim Hickox Dent (Anthony), of Jesup; three grandchildren, Kayla Hickox, Mallory Dent, and Morgan Dent; her father, Gerald "Scamp" Thrift, of Hickox; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Bass (Chuck), of Hickox, Terri Waters (Richard), also of Hickox. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday (August 27, 2015) starting at 6PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Friday (August 28, 2015) at 11AM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright and Rev. Edward Colley officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Bass, Kory Clark, Randall Hickox, Landon Hickox, Ken Clark, Kole Clark, and Michael Haney.
