Christine Jeannette Marden

Nahunta- Christine Jeannette Marden, 42, of Nahunta died suddenly Wednesday evening (June 25, 2014) at Mayo Clinic in Waycross after an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, FL her parents are the late John David Marden and Vannie "Gussie" Acosta Marden of Nahunta. Christine was a homemaker and attended Hickox Praise & Worship. She also loved going to the river and just having fun. Survivors include her son, John Paul Branham of Brunswick; a daughter, Christina Branham of Nahunta; her mother, Gussie Marden of Nahunta; a brother and sister-in-law, Jason & Misti Marden of Hoboken; a sister, Shellie Marden Kersey (Robby Batten) of Blackshear; and also several nieces and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning (July 1, 2014) from 11AM-12PM at Hickox Praise and Worship. A funeral service will be held Tuesday (July 1, 2014) at 12PM at Hickox Praise and Worship with Rev. Jason Marden and Rev. Chuck Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Essman, Jim Johns, Shannon Herrin, Ronald Thrift, Michael Johns, and Will Bladow. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, GA.
