Hoboken – Christopher “Chris” Ray Shuman, 52, of Hoboken passed away Thursday afternoon (February 9, 2023).
Born in Waycross, GA his parents are Elbert “Ray” Shuman and the late Janice Crews Shuman.
Chris was a boilermaker for Savannah Local #26 and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He loved saw milling and tinkering with all kinds of things.
Survivors include his wife, Riza Shuman of Hoboken; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Shuman (Emberlee) of Orlando, FL and Matthew Shuman (Samantha) of Nahunta; a daughter, Samantha Shuman of the Philippines; a grandson, Hudson Shuman of Orlando, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Constance Sartain (John) of Waycross; and several aunts, uncles, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday (February 18, 2023) starting at 10am at Frye Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Saturday morning (February 18, 2023) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home.
A private burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Crews, Terry Crews, Tommy Crews, Dennis Crews, Danny Crews, John Sartain, Justin Ennis, Jonathan McMillan and Norman Lee.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
