Chrystal "Chris" Donald King

Nahunta – Mr. Chrystal “Chris” Donald King, 89, of Nahunta passed away Wednesday morning (November 30, 2022) at Harborview in Blackshear after an extended illness.

Born in Wales Township, MI his parents were Arthur James King and Ethel Lashbrook King. He is also preceded in death by an adopted daughter, Janet Sleeper; and 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Mr. Chris was a machinist and served in the United States Army with the Core of Engineers. He was a 1952 graduate of Memphis High School in MI and also in the Smith’s Creek Masonic Lodge #491 in MI.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Phyllis Rushton King of Nahunta; a daughter and son-in-law, Shelly Miller (David) of Nahunta; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Miller (Traycee) and Mark Miller (Jessica) all of Nahunta; a great grandchild, Mason Rhett Miller of Nahunta; an adopted daughter, June Walker; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane & Keith Lashbrook of MI; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday (December 10, 2022) at 2pm at Evergreen Cemetery in Brunswick with Bro. Mike Aldridge officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
