Claude Damon Edgy, 44, of Waverly, GA died suddenly Saturday afternoon (Oct. 31, 2009). Born in Glynn Co, GA, his parents are Claude Lamar and Theresa Ellis Edgy of Waverly. He was a self-employed carpenter who built houses. Damon loved building things and enjoyed fishing. And was of the Southern Baptist faith. He is survived by 4 children, Ross Edgy of Waynesville, Kaylee Edgy of Waynesville, Sidney Edgy of West Virginia and Zane Edgy of Waynesville; his parents, Claude and Theresa Edgy, 3 brothers, Guy Edgy, Martin Edgy both of Waynesville and Kevin Edgy of Waverly; a sister and brother-in-law, Shamra and Chris Kurrasch of Waynesville; a grandson on the way, Kason Edgy; and a very,very special friend, Gina Hulett of Nahunta; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Tuesday evening starting at 6 p.m. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at King Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Yawn and Rev. Wayne Higginbotham officiating. Burial will follow in Homeward Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Claude Edgy, Ross Edgy, Guy Edgy, Martin Edgy, Kevin Edgy and Chris Karrasch.
